Not a bad weekend i guess.  I think it was a pretty packed weekend.  I guess it’s technically not over yet, still got the rest of today to go.  But so far everything’s been going well… well most of it anyways.

The weekend kick off started as soon as I left the office… started out great too.  Got on the right track with going to the gym and getting a short work out in.  I immediately rushed home, ate, showered, and got ready to head out for the night’s festivities.

I booked it out the door at 8:10 cause i had to pick up Geoff, and be down at the cinematheque by 8:30.  It normally takes me 20-25 minutes to get down to the exchange district and i still had to pick up Geoff.  I maximized the speed limit and managed to get down there just at 8:30, so needless to say i was going fast!  The funny thing about getting down there by 8:30 was it didn’t even matter.  The show we wanted to watch was at 9:00 and the night before it sold out but tonight there was barely 20 people in the theatre when the show started.  I didn’t have to rush at all!

I met up with 8 other people at the theatre to watch Planet B-Boy, a documentary about b-boys from around the world.  It follows five teams from around the world as they win their local championship battles to make their way to Battle of the Year 2005.  Two teams from Korea, and one team each from France, USA, and Japan.  This is by far the best B-Boy documentary I’ve ever seen, it is a short story on the history of bboying and then the stories of the teams and some individual members.

Needless to say it was an incredible film and got me pretty hyped for the rest of the night.

By 11 we were headed out to Hi-Fi in the village and it was pretty busy there, the line up was kinda long, but Allan talked to the bouncers at the door, and the 10 of just strolled right in.  Once we got inside, some other friends arrived.  I had a good time, i had a chance to battle some of the poppers that i knew, and met some new ones as well.  There was a group from TO that came out and i popped with one of their guys as well.  It was good to be out on the dance floor tearing it up.  It’s been a while since i’ve been able to do that!

We closed the bar down and we proceeded to outside.  We were loitering for a few minutes when some fights broke out.  They were happening right in front of me on the sidewalk, i thought i was gonna get pushed through the plate glass into the store fronts.  I just wanted to get out of there.  As the fists started flying they went from one end of the block to another.  One guy was just getting stomped, and i saw him when everyone starting clearing out.  He was just lying there on the corner, lifeless.  If it wasn’t for him disappearing after i took my eyes off of him, i’d have thought he really was dead.  They must’ve beat him within an inch of his life.  I don’t know what the motives were but he got it the worse.

We all went to Johnny G’s after to eat, but waited there till 3 without service still, took us forever to get a table and when we got our table, we didn’t even get our drink order 15 minutes later.  So we decided to part ways and i ended getting some eggs and bacon at salisbury house.

By the time i got home i was ready to just pass out.

Saturday began at nearly 10 am.  It was kinda odd to get up so early, especially after getting home so late the previous night.  I ended up going out in the afternoon to run some errands and even made a trip to the gym, and then the partying started again.  I had a chance to hang out with an old friend, Diana.

The night was awesome, another fun filled night for me, but i think i’m going to take it easy on the drinks next time. After the club and after-club eats, i was ready to pass out. Kevin hooked me up with a ride down to the club and a ride home afterwards, Thanks Kev!

So to save you from reading the rest of this dull weekend, i’ll do it point form:
-woke up too late on sunday for dim sum
-went to the gym
-found out gym was closed
-went over to geoff’s house
-we went home to eat with marek
-picked up diana again
-washed the car
-launched DJ Mixed Menace’s PodCast at www.zucru.ca
-went out to eat at moxies
-had a male server/waiter
-geoff and i agreed that we don’t like tipping male servers at restaurants like moxie’s, earl’s, and joey’s
-went to watch Death Race
-we all agreed that we enjoyed the movie
-we all agreed you can’t gor wrong with a movie with cars, guns, and pretty girls with big breasts
-went to Irben for the last sale before they switch to new owners
-picked up new air freshners for my car
-got a stuffed Flat Panda

-got some chara cube keychains as well… got the Flat Panda one (YAY)! and the afro ken and Monokoruboo ones as well!

-cruised down to the spot
-hung around to feed the mosquitos
-drove down to Shoppers Drugmart on Portage and Moray
-hung around to feed the mosquitos
-went home and played Call of Duty 4
-went to sleep
-woke up
-scratched butt
-decided to go play football
-football is canceled due to rain
-decided to go to movie
-movie is canceled due to lack of company
-stayed home and posted this blog entry.

Too bad the weekend is over, i had a blast in the mean time anyways. Back to work tomorrow…. ho hum.
