I haven’t had a fresh breath of air since leaving Winnipeg. Everywhere you go in Hong Kong stinks! Whether it smells like food, exhaust fumes, or general smog it certainly doesn’t smell fresh. When you’re on the bus it smells like BO or recycled foot. It’s terrible. I’d have never thought that I’d miss Winnipeg for clean air.

Unfortunately, I have to take the bus and train all over. And today was no exception. I was stuck on a bus ride from the multi level factory outlet mall for 45 minutes. And the guy sitting near me smells like he got more alcohol on his clothes than in his mouth.

The bus ride isn’t even comfortable either. The bus driver feels like he’s stepping on the gas pedal and letting off, stepping on the gas pedal and letting off. It gives the bus a horrible jerking motion. It seems as though he’s trying to male us all puke.

Bought it.

Now this is a true iced milk tea!

No additional ice and water to compromise the taste. This is smart thinking.

Hmmmmm watermelon or kiwi?

This is a mango dessert with mangos and Chinese grapefruit. Really tasty. Someone in Winnipeg make this dammit!

And also in bottled form!

Tea time!

Today we went out for dimsum and i had salted lemon and 7up for the first time.  That was different.  Then we walked around a mall, had some “famous” egg tarts.  Apparently the egg tarts are so good that many people line up in the morning just to have it!  And i guess for good reason, it did taste pretty good.  We continued to walk around more malls and i looked at some glasses.  They are pretty cheap to get prescription glasses.

And while we were walking around, i heard someone call my name.  I turned around to see an old friend Bernard.  More than 7 million people live in Hong Kong and i know 1 of them.  And he found me!

Anyways, we exchanged pleasantries and we went off for dinner.  All-you-can-eat sushi!  And i definately ate my fill.  It was pretty damn good.  I ate way too much and felt way too tired after dinner, i was ready to pass out.

Even after dinner close to 8PM the streets are just filled with people.  Hong Kong is definitely a place that never sleeps.  There’s just so many people everywhere!

Don’t forget to check the photo-gallery for new photos.

There are more than 7 million people living in Hong Kong and I know one person that lives in Hong Kong. And I ran into him.

I was walking through the mall when I heard someone call out my name. I turned around and saw an old friend I haven’t seen in near ten years.

He had no idea I was coming either. And he rexognized me as I was walking around. I think I was looking at the ground or something.

I am amazed. This is a small world! I’m going to buy a lottery ticket now!
