So although I stayed in today it didn’t turn out to be such a waste. I got to talk to a lot of people that are staying here. Found where they’re from, where they’ve been and where they’re headed. It was cool.

There were a few from Canada and some from Australia, Italy, Spain and a few from Korea. Hostels are such a wonderful place because everyone that stays there has the same open attitude and is always willing to talk with others.

Tonight I had a chance to socialize over a few beers with the other guests. We were sitting on the front patio until the front desk staff left at 11. We were getting pretty loud I guess and suddenly a uniformed police officer showed up. He looked at me and Carrie and thought we were Japanese so he tried to speak with us. We just shook our heads and said “uhhh sorry English.”

He pointed to his wrist and said in jenglish, “Japan, time now sleeping.” and he pressed his finger to his lips for “shhhh”

We quickly understood and the party shut down shortly after that. We all went inside and that was it. What a killjoy.
